FIVE ANGELS! Cassie Stevens has written a wonderful story centering around two career Marines in Addicted. Both Vic and Damien have worked hard to gain their current positions in the military, and hidden their true sexual desires. I had a feeling that Vic and Damien didn't communicate before their breakup and was happy to see the two men makeup with a bit of BDSM loving. The characters are just the way I like my gay male characters to read, hard, determined, successful, with no silly girly softness allowed. I also enjoyed the fact that they are both wonderful fathers who put their children's need ahead of their own. Their passion and lust was clear, but the love overpowered all the other emotions. 4-1/2 BLUE RIBBON RATING! Cassie Stevens, a long time favorite of mine, has penned a great read with ADDICTED. Vic and Damien are two men who have been hurt, but have never confronted each other with the nature of their grief in order to set it right. It has now festered, leaving them on the path of wanting only satisfaction for the wrong each feels the other has done to them. Their addiction to what only the other can give is evident from the moment Damien steps into Vic's space. As their pleasure is linked to their love for each other, they can only make the other understand and know that they are the other half of each other. The introduction of light BDSM scenes, not only enhance the tension between the protagonists, but makes for some very erotic love scenes. ADDICTED is a fantastic addition to Amber Allure's BDSM collection. ~jhayboy, Romance Junkies

4.25 STARS! Cassie Stevens has written an excellent story of love lost and found again and both characters were well drawn. Vic, the Gunnery Sergeant who loved his boss and hated him at the same time; Damien who was still smarting from the sting of betrayal even after such a long time and wanted to show Vic who was the boss in the office, while what he needed was to be in Vic's bed again. The sex was incredibly hot when the two men got together, and the BDSM scenes were well done as their situations were reversed and Vic became Damien's Master... Addicted is fantastic! Damien and Vic had an explosive past together and pride and personal decisions tore them apart. The passion between them was perfect; the sex was hot with just the right amount of BDSM. Addicted laid a great foundation but I was not overly thrilled with the ending until I learned there will be more to the story. I'm looking forward to the direction the author Cassie Stevens take these two heroes in with the upcoming book. Fans of Ms. Stevens' work will love Vic and Damien and will find Addicted to be an addiction. ~Ley, Joyfully Reviewed

...The chair sighed as Damien sank into it. It sounded too much like his own sigh whenever Vic slid his cock deep inside his ass. Damien grappled for something to put distance between his feelings and this man. Something to erase the image of himself staring up at Vic with a flogger in his hand ready to give Damien everything he needed. Anything...

He kept his gaze locked on the stack of paperwork, not on the man easing into the chair opposite him. "I understand you were recently promoted. Pretty young to be a gunnery sergeant."

"Right place, right time, took advantage of opportunities. And, with all due respect, sir...you're pretty old to be a captain."
